Vendmint vs Lovable
Lovable builds anything. We build stores
On Lovable the prompt has to know what to write it in, where the cart state lives and how payments get wired. Here you say what you sell — the cart, the checkout, orders and taxes are part of the platform, not something to generate and then maintain.
0
technical decisions in the prompt
You do not write “use React and Tailwind, keep the cart in Zustand, wire up Stripe”. You write what you sell and who you are selling it to.
0 credits
for editing, layout and saved sections
A credit is spent only when new code is genuinely being written. Copy, images, section order and dropping in a saved component cost nothing.
15
stores on one subscription
Starter at $13 a month covers fifteen stores at once, hosting and domains included. The next one is assembled from sections you already have, not prompted into existence again.
The same store, asked for twice
A general-purpose builder could just as well be building a CRM, so the framework, the database and the payments have to be in the prompt. Ours only builds stores, so they do not.
The prompt on Lovable
Build a store in Next.js and Tailwind. Products in Supabase — a table with variants and stock. Cart in Zustand, persisted to localStorage. Checkout on Stripe, webhook that records the order. Add an admin panel for products and orders. Send an email once it is paid.
And that is only the skeleton. VAT rates, gross prices, the 30-day lowest price, shipping costs, returns, a privacy policy and a cookie banner are further prompts — each of which you have to know to ask for.
The prompt here
A soy candle store. Scandinavian, light, plenty of air. Bestsellers on the home page and a section about the workshop.
Already there before you write anything:
- cart
- checkout
- Stripe payments
- order dashboard
- stock and variants
- VAT and legal pages
Count how much of the work never reaches the AI
Set how many new sections appear in a month and how much of what already stands you rework. Then say how much of it comes out of your own library and how much you do by hand in the editor — that is the part that costs no credits here.

Currency
Both percentages move our column only — on Lovable a structural change has no path other than a prompt. Cosmetics (copy, colour, spacing) are counted on neither side: Lovable has Visual Edits, we have the inline editor, and both are free of credits.

$12per month
$144 per year · against the Pro plan
Both plans absorb the month, so the whole difference is the subscription. You still have room for about 77 more AI changes.
The library and the editor took work worth 41.6 credits away from the model this month.
Rates as of August 2026. Lovable: Pro from $25 and Business from $50 a month, both starting at 100 monthly credits, with extra credits at $15 per 50 on Pro and $30 per 50 on Business. On our side the Starter plan: $13 a month with 100 credits, extra credits at $0.15 each. Work priced in credits: a new section or page is 2 credits on both sides; reworking something that exists is 0.9 credits on Lovable (their own published cost for removing a component) and 1 on ours. A credit does not mean the same thing on the two platforms, which is why this counts through work and money rather than through credit totals. Ours are metered from real token usage, so a small section costs a fraction of one; Lovable charges per message, and complex requests and debugging runs cost more than those examples. Check both current price lists before deciding.
Four things we do differently
An AI that knows this is a store
A generated section does not get a placeholder product — it binds to the real catalogue, cart and checkout. That is why the prompt can be about the brand rather than about libraries: the rest is not guessed, because it is not generated.
Done once stays done
A section that worked is saved as a component or a template and dropped into the next store in one click, or taken ready-made from the marketplace. Either way it is a copy of code that already exists — the model is never asked and no credit is spent.
A small change does not go through the model
Copy is edited in place, images and icons are swapped from a picker, sections are reordered, hidden and duplicated, colours come from the store style. The prompt is left for what genuinely needs new code.
A store is more than a front end
Orders, stock, variants, VAT rates, gross prices, the 30-day lowest price, post-purchase emails, digital files, ad pixels and legal pages are the platform underneath — not code you have to ask for and then keep working.
Row by row
Compared against the Pro plan, the point at which a project runs on a domain of its own. Two rows end in a draw — they stayed in the table.

When to take Lovable instead
These are not the same kind of tool. Lovable builds applications of any sort; we run stores — cart, orders, taxes and everything else that has to work every day. If what you are making is not a store, there is nothing to argue about.
Lovable pricing- You are building something that is not a store: a dashboard, a SaaS, an internal tool, a portal, a calculator.
- You need a prototype for a demo or an investor — something that has to work once, not sell every day.
- Selling is a footnote in your project: the thing itself is a feature or a service, and payment is one button off to the side.
If it is simply a store, though — candles, clothes, supplements, a digital product — then everything that would have to be built there and then kept working already runs here.
A store, not a project to finish
Describe what you sell and see the store generated with its cart, checkout and order dashboard. Credits are spent only when something new is genuinely being built.
